Classification in land use for Agriculture

In this laboratory work, we will study methods for classifying land use types based on aerial photographs and satellite images of the Earth's surface. We will learn to create our own photo masks based on ready-made masks and display them on the screen.

At a Glance

In this laboratory work, we will study methods for classifying land use types based on aerial photographs and satellite images of the Earth's surface. We will learn to create our own photo masks based on ready-made masks and display them on the screen.

Today, a major problem is the ability to determine how land resources are used, as their improper and illegal use can lead to both economic and environmental disasters. One way to assess land use is through the analysis of aerial photographs and satellite images of the Earth's surface. A significant challenge in this is constructing a mathematical model that can determine the type of land use based on colors. If ready photos and land use masks are available, artificial intelligence and big data methods can be used to build a classifier model.

In this lab work, we will learn how to upload photos and transform pixels and colors into a dataset. Then we will learn how to build a classifier and make predictions based on it for land use masks.
